Continue to get a network issue error when I try to upload a picture to send to my child’s provider.
My husband and I both have and are being cared for by the marvelous Mayo doctors, nurses, technicians, schedulers, assistants, and on and on. Today I met nurse Katie Hoffman prior to scan. The bar for staff is high and Katie surpassed it with her warmth, thoughtfulness, and genuine interest in my path to the other side of my cancer journey. To all the wonderful people who are making this scary, dreary disease a little bit more tolerable, a big thank you, and an extra hug for Katie.

When it works, it’s great. Unfortunately, around once a week, you’ll get an error message that your sign in failed and the only way to fix it is to uninstall the app and then reinstall it. Very frustrating!
The app shows appointment time but different departments list times differently. Some appointments start at the time listed. So appointments the time listed is 15mins before the actual appointment time. Not knowing how each department operates could make you 30mins early or late for your appointment. The app appointment checkin doesn’t always work. It looks like it checked you in on the app but the department was never notified you were sitting in the waiting room. Have had this happen several times. You unfortunately may need to still check with the desk.
This app worked great when I initially got it. Now I can’t make appointments for myself anymore. My son has the same primary as me and his still works (different login than me) but I cannot do anything appointment wise. That was the main thing we used it for so we didn’t have to sit on hold for 10 minutes each time we needed something.
As a newly diagnosed oncology patient, I’ll say all the negative reviews are unwarranted. This app has worked flawlessly. I’ve had zero issues. It does everything it’s supposed to do. If in the past is had issues, Mayo Clinic listened and fixed it.
Since the last scheduled maintenance you cannot log in without uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I've never had this until the last week. What a nightmare!!
The app is really great and seamless for using while at the clinic or to access medical records. Scheduling appointments, in theory, is supposed to work but I’ve never had luck with that. But Please, please allow us to download the app on MacBooks. When you have a zoom appointment with a doctor, it’s weird to have to do the zoom call on a cellphone.
This is one of the worst apps I've ever used. You'd think for #1 hospital in the nation they'd put some of their money into making an app that works. For years that I've used this since becoming a patient at Mayo, this app has consistently been a buggy mess. Nothing works. Can't schedule appointments, can't check statements or health history without something messing up. It's just not worth downloading.
Every single time I attempt to use the app it never works. Trying to check ur messages? Good luck. Want to see your lab results? Not happening. Need to schedule an appointment? Stinks for you. Every single one of these tabs whenever you open them it acts like it’s loading but then proceeds to never actually load anything. It’s just a white blank screen. You may as well just use the website if that’s even working. Just all around a useless app that was pushed on me by hospital staff.
I have a trouble logging in my account in Mayo Clinic app. After creating one, I found that whenever I put my account. It’s says to me get verification code and when i try to get verification code it won’t let me get pass through it. I have updated the app and have done everything I can to fix it.I need help about this issue.
Every time I open the app, all I get is an error screen. I’ll even force close it and still nothing. And the website isn’t any better.
This attempt to recreate MyChart is poorly done and makes it so much harder for patients to access and especially SHARE their health information. My proxy is not a Mayo Clinic patient and therefore can’t get access to my test results? Through the Epic app, it’s SO EASY to just send someone a link and BAM they have access. And those of us who have to go through multiple health organizations have all the others on MyChart, but have to struggle through the bad UX on the patient portal for Mayo. I don’t get it; especially considering y’all are on Epic and even have your own dedicated Epic dev team?? Why make your patients’ lives harder unnecessarily?
I constantly have notifications in this app about “estimates” in billing and they never make any sense nor do they go away. I brought it up to a provider, who shall remain nameless, and they laughed at how often they hear about the Portal app glitches. I suppose it’s adequate in that it does technically function to make appointments and pay bills. So, it’ll get 2 stars because of that.
I used to be able to find my provider access easily. Now I can’t find my provider access to send a message to him.
I cannot get through to my Dr. the “ triage “ team is playing GOD and telling us to stay in Birmingham and continue treatment!!!!!! All of my daughters doctors are at Mayo and this app erased communications with current phys. I want to talk to MAYO doctor and I cannot get through by phone , or messages. This is absolutely ridiculous . Desk said “yes something happened, you are not only one”
When I log into the app I always see I have a couple “billing notifications” making me think I have problems. However it’s always just stupid “estimates”. Please get rid of this stupid “feature”, there’s no way to get rid of these after looking at these estimates, pure stupidity
Both Mayo Clinic and Apple Health no longer have the compatibility it once did. This issue has been going on for approximately 9 months. I’m now forced to log into a once great app that times out after one minute of inactivity. I get that for our bank accounts, but not for a medical facility. This app shouldn’t time out and force log a patient out for at least five minutes. Trying to keep track of appointments is difficult with this app especially when it times out. Logging in and trying to find your medical records is another fiasco and hurdle that I don’t enjoy. I know how to navigate the app but it’s an inconvenience when you’ve got multiple appointments and you’re wanting to look at test results or other data uploaded by the providers. I’ve now been forced to make sure all my appointments get added to my calendar so I’m not logging into the app. I wish someone would fix the Apple health and Mayo Clinic apps to once again allow us to download our records without having to log into the app. Or is that the purpose of breaking the link between Apple Health and Mayo Clinic so we’re forced to log into Mayo Clinic app constantly.
Can’t contact care giver anymore. This is terrible. Use to come in handy.
For about the past couple weeks now, I am unable to use the app. I try to login and I get an (E1) error … “We’re Sorry. There was a connectivity problem. Please try again later” I have tried dozens of times via WiFi, LTE, and 5G. Uninstalled and redownloaded the app and reinstalled. Problem persists. Worked fine previous to this error and earlier versions of the app. Is there a way to revert back to v9.6 again? Other Ideas or suggestions to fix? 02/12/23 - updated to v9.8 just released, but app is still broken. Same error. Downgraded my stars rating from 3 to a 2. 02/13/23 - updated my phone from iOS 16.3 to v16.3.1 released today and now the Mayo app is working again. Upgraded my stars rating to a 4. 02/28/23 - app broken again. Same error. Downgraded my stars rating to 1. —————————— 11/7/24 App is broken again for at least the last 6 weeks or so. Cannot login. iOS 18.1 12/9/24 Cookies were blocked. Re-enabled and app works again as expected.
It’s finally fully broken, completely useless. They have been at it for a long time. WOW. Using mychart from another system via the state data exchange works better then mayo’s own app. Their head of IT should be fired for gross negligence and incompetence
This could be the slowest and least response app in all of app land
This app used to work well, but no longer is that the case. I am unable to login from the login screen. It shows the login name, but no space for entering a password. In seeking app support, the associated link takes me to mayoclinic.org, which gives me information about transforming my care, links to appointments, and disease related links. There is nothing there related to app support at all. Where are we supposed to go? This is very frustrating.
Super helpful. Really like how easy it is to use and keeps all my health info organized. Makes things simple and stress-free.
I find it extremely difficult to find past care givers on my portal: is there a time frame where I cannot contact them: Emily THIOELE, PT saw june2024- Joan
This app is chaos. We use it to help managed my fathers appointments, but we don’t live in the same time zone. The app changes to the time zone to the person using the app, not where the location of the appointment is. There is simply no need for it to be any other time zone. It’s unhelpful, confusing, and has even caused us to miss appointments. Terrible user experience and lacks sophistication.
They revised their app and went from one that was very intuitive and easy to use to a far more obtuse arrangement.
Communication is top tier Documentation is top tier Educational content is top tier Billing is top tier I am able to link all my healthcare records to my account.
I love using the Mayo Clinic App except I cannot ever seem to be able to schedule an appointment on the app. Not even when I get a notification to schedule an appointment. Then, when I’m on hold to talk to a scheduler, I do a slow burn as the recording suggests that I can use the online app to schedule my appointment. Please fix this, you are The Mayo Clinic!
Broke with the last update. Cant even log in.
I keep getting notifications to make appointments from 2023… get estimates, for what? Nothing is there. I had an appointment yesterday, and was told to check the portal for results and nothing is post and the clinical notes say I saw my provider and to bring all this when I come for the appointment. End of report. It used to be very informative and current tool in my health care. What a waste of my time. Mayo you’ve been taken for a ride by your new IT provider.
Other Medical facilities should go with your model...they are far behind.
App is fine, not great. One would seem you could direct msg with your doctor on an upcoming appointment, but you can’t. Called 3 times and asked for lab order for outside lab, so I can get done before apt. I can’t msg them via the app and the requests via phone do not get fulfilled. This is a Mayo Clinic issue #1, and foremost, and an app issue #2 since I can msg them. Also, it’s not easy to find where this would be uploaded into the app, once or if ever uploaded.
When I open the app on my phone, it is not evident where I can contact a Dr office. It is not evident where to find appointments. It takes searching to find any useful information that is not about the bill. I get constant messages about the bill for instance signing into an appointment. That is fine but then don’t send me additional messages regarding my bill. Or send me billing info Ina separate area just for that. Then I can easily find it and pay it if I have not been able to do so at the time of the visit. At this point I can not find how to reach Dr King or Dr Rudder the Covid team. Why is that not a very easy thing for me to do? I am very frustrated with the whole app. Thank you for the new addition here in Mankato and as of this moment my husband is in one of the beautiful rooms . Now please put some money into a much cleaner more spacious portal. bbb
It’s a nice way to see your information quickly. But if you don’t log out after every session, you have to delete the app and reinstall it.
See title. Changes make app crappy.
I have wasted hours trying to get into the app on the computer and iPhone. What type of app does not immediately tell the user that they can not sign into it when you bring it up to use!! Take my experience times all its users and you have many lifetimes of wasted effort. Mayo Clinic is a great facility but it’s app does not make the level of an amateur’s quality.
After the update I can’t even login to my account and have to manually open my browser and go to the website to actually do anything account related. Very frustrating.
Please. The experience using the app has been really bad since Mayo decided to go all-in with web. The new navigation system is bad, the login is terrible (3 steps to get in and no cookies or face Auth so they spend extra money on Twilio messaging and our time.
Can’t log in. Get a blank screen. Not useful.
App claims it cannot open because my browser is blocking cookies - even though it is not. All other Apps work fine but Mayo’s is a junk App. Don’t waste your time with this App or their clinics!
I wanted to thank everyone for their help, in caring for me, after my surgery. My over night hospital stay was unexpected, but I can’t say enough about how grateful I am to have been able to have been at the Mayo Clinic, for my care. I mostly want to praise and thank Dr Meagan E Tibbo, and Allyssa Perri, PA, for removing a Schwannomas tumor, from my upper thigh. I know it was a very rare surgery to perform, and I’m so fortunate to have been able to have a doctor that was willing to help me, by removing it. I have some residual effects, that I was told could happen, but to have the pain gone, after so long, I couldn’t be happier. Thank you all, I’ve never seen a more well run facility, everything works like clock work. Thanks again to everyone.🥰
When I want to check messages, have a hard time finding messages. Liked the previous app much better, don’t like getting on this version
I can’t even log in. Was great when it was in working order.
Mayo Clinic is one of the best hospitals in the world. Their care and competence in medicine is why I’m a devoted patient. However, their app and IT systems have really been a drag. After the implemented multi-factor authentication the app has been nothing but problems. It’s never reliable and their online browser based system has also declined. It makes it hard to be a patient when I can’t access records or messaging with my provider. For example, I can’t login to any service today. Mayo IT, please do better.
Every time I’ve tried to check in online (15 mins) early I’ve had to wait even longer more like 10 mins early. Honestly, I don’t see why you can’t check in online within 30 minutes of appt! There are times that the dr/staff are running that far ahead of time and if you’re here they will see you! I would much rather check in on my phone than to deal with the kiosks and all the people and germs associated with them!
Please allow kiosk default user photo change via app. There is a profile photo taken of me from a kiosk in office that is appended to my user profile in the app, it is not of my choosing and there is no setting to alter.
Over half the time the app doesn’t work. It says that I “can’t schedule an appointment at this time” or “this page isn’t working at this time”. If it’s supposed to make it more convenient to schedule appointments through the app what’s the point if I can’t schedule through the app like I’m supposed to?? Try to view a statement?- page won’t load. Or when the page won’t load it kicks you back to the last page you were on.
